Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AppStyle at www.appstyle.dev and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Who we are

3. The Service

AppStyle is a browser-based design tool for creating App Store, Google Play, and other store screenshots. The Service includes a manual editor, optional AI-assisted design features on paid plans, exports, and related tools. Some tools, such as the Screenshot Beautifier, run entirely in your browser and do not require an account.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf.

You represent that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the right to use any content you upload, including app screenshots, branding, and copy.

5. Accounts

Accounts are provided through Firebase Authentication. You may sign in with Google or email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You may update your display name and profile photo in the Service. Your email address is managed through your authentication provider. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

6. Plans, pricing, and billing

AppStyle offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Launch, Pro, and Studio), billed monthly or annually through Dodo Payments. Current prices are shown on our website and may change for new purchases. Taxes may apply where required by law.

  • Free tier: limited project and export usage as described on the site.
  • Paid plans: include project allowances, AI credits, unlimited exports, and support as described for each plan.
  • Annual billing: billed once per year. Marketing copy may describe annual plans as paying for 10 months and receiving 2 months free.

Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments. AppStyle does not store full payment card numbers. By subscribing, you also agree to Dodo Payments' applicable terms and policies.

7. Subscriptions, renewals, and cancellations

Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless canceled before renewal. You can manage billing, update payment methods, change plans, or cancel through the customer portal made available in the Service.

  • Upgrades generally take effect immediately and may be prorated by our payment provider.
  • Downgrades generally take effect at the next billing cycle unless otherwise shown in the product.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues through the end of the paid period unless stated otherwise.

Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable once a billing period has started. If a subscription ends or payment fails, we may provide a grace period of up to 30 days during which your account may enter read-only access. During read-only access, editing, exports, and AI features may be unavailable.

8. AI features

Paid plans may include AI-assisted design tools. AI features consume plan credits and are subject to usage limits. When you use AI features, your prompts, editor context, screenshots, chat history, optional voice input, and related content may be sent to third-party AI providers to generate responses.

AI output is provided for creative assistance only. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all designs, copy, and exports before publication. We do not guarantee that AI output will be accurate, original, non-infringing, or accepted by any app store or marketplace.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing purposes.
  • Upload content you do not have the right to use.
  • Attempt to bypass plan limits, rate limits, security controls, or billing restrictions.
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated systems to access the Service except as we expressly allow.
  • Submit malicious files, abusive prompts, or content intended to exploit AI or webpage-fetch features.

We may suspend or restrict access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or created risk for the Service or other users.

10. Your content

You retain ownership of the screenshots, designs, text, and other materials you create or upload ("User Content"). You grant AppStyle a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display User Content only as needed to operate the Service, including providing AI features you request, generating exports, and storing profile avatars you upload.

You are solely responsible for User Content and for ensuring your final store listings comply with Apple, Google, and other platform rules.

11. Local storage and backups

Projects, screenshots, assets, and AI conversations are stored locally in your browser using IndexedDB unless otherwise stated in the product. AppStyle does not maintain a full cloud backup of your creative work.

You are responsible for exporting finished work and maintaining your own backups. Clearing browser data, switching devices, or using private browsing modes may permanently remove locally stored projects.

12. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Firebase, Google, Cloudflare, Dodo Payments, AWS Bedrock, Groq, Exa, Cloudinary, Google Analytics, and others described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies.

13. Intellectual property

AppStyle, including its website, branding, editor, templates, documentation, and underlying software, is owned by Sarthak Gupta and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding except as needed to use the Service in the ordinary course.

14. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPSTYLE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of data loss, or that exports or AI-generated results will meet your requirements or be accepted by any store or platform.

15. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPSTYLE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO APPSTYLE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

16. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, create security or legal risk, or if we discontinue the Service.

Upon termination, rights granted to you under these Terms end. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except that either party may seek injunctive relief for misuse of intellectual property or unauthorized access.
